Rock N’ Roll Collectors Edition – Greatest Hits of the 50’s & 60’s Volume 1
Its been a while since I posted anything at all, and for that I am apologetic. 2020 has not been a kind year for any of us, and that was no different for me. But I’m back, I purchased a couple of reel-to-reel tape players, and found some stuff I am quite excited about. Which brings us to the subject for today, a return to Metacom’s Rock N’ Roll – Greatest Hits of the 50‘s and 60‘s collection.
I found this new set of tapes at a Antique Market in Barrie, Ontario, Sanford and Son Emporium. The set, which contains the odd numbered tapes from 1-13, inclusive, came in a cheap, but charming, plastic display case. Unlike the previous set of tapes I have, and have written about, these have a teal insert, rather than pink. From what little information is available on these cassettes, I believe they are from the same collection, but I would love to hear if I’m wrong.
If you would like to read about my deeper dive into this collection, its company and where you used to be able to purchase them from, please visit the write up I did on Volume Four, previously my lowest numbered cassette.
